1. Acceptance of Agreement
By adding the [App Name] application (the "Service") to a Discord server or interacting with it as a user, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must authorize the removal of the application and cease all use immediately.
2. Nature of Service
[App Name] is a process automation tool designed to bridge Discord and Google Classroom/Google Drive. The Service acts as a data processor; it facilitates the automation of educational tasks but does not serve as the primary host or owner of user data.
3. Relationship with Server Owners & Instructors
The Server Owner or authorized Instructor (the "Administrator") is responsible for the following:
- Data Sourcing: Providing access to a specific, agreed-upon Google Drive folder to serve as the knowledge base for the Service.
- Authorization: Ensuring they have the legal right and necessary permissions to share the contents of said Google Drive folder with the Service for the purpose of generating quizzes, questions, and automated answers.
- Compliance: Ensuring that the use of the Service complies with their specific institutional policies (e.g., FERPA, GDPR, or university academic integrity codes).
4. Third-Party Dependencies
This Service operates through Discord and Google Workspace. Your use is subject to:
- Google Terms of Service: Regarding all data held within Google Classroom and Drive.
- Discord Terms of Service: Regarding all interactions within the Discord interface. We are not responsible for service interruptions, data loss, or policy changes initiated by these third-party providers.
5. Automated Content Generation
The Service uses data from the designated Google Drive folder to generate quizzes and respond to inquiries. While we strive for accuracy, [App Name] is an automated tool. Users and Administrators should verify the accuracy of generated educational content.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. [App Name] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the automation, including but not limited to grading errors or loss of access to third-party accounts.
